Feel an image? Not easy! But with a little imagination, why not? From spectacular country landscapes to warm interiors adorned with magnificent bouquets, the reader follows a facetious parrot who steals all the colors of the flowers. And we laugh to make him a photographic prank!

A poetic and playful immersion through the photographic plates of Gabriel Lippmann. Readership: from 4 years old, all audiences

The project

Photo Elysée has joined forces with the Keribus publishing house to reinvent the notion of photographic books for young people. In the form of a leporello, they aim at stimulating the curiosity and the imagination of children and at making them discover new emotions through a choice of photographs unearthed in the fabulous and inexhaustible collections of Photo Elysée. True theaters of images with a strong and colorful graphic bias, these books create a real physical space for reading: the image is exposed in volume, the short texts give rhythm to the story, the graphics make them dynamic. At the end of the book, captions allow to identify each photographer and to situate him in an era or a place. Discovery guaranteed!

The author

Art director, graphic designer, illustrator and editor, Nicolas Rouvière plays with forms and images in many fields (cultural press, exhibition signage, publishing). After designing and producing the winning editorial project for the Elysée 2020 Prize, Jardín de mi Padre by the artist Luis Carlos Tovar, he delved into the collections of Photo Elysée to create an original and innovative collection of children's books, under the direction of Marc Donnadieu and Sylviane Amey.
