Photo embroidery workshop – Threading Words

The Plateforme 10 teams are committed to integrating and promoting social debates at the heart of museums. The MCBA, mudac and Photo Elysée are offering a special programme to celebrate International Women's Day on 8 March.

Photo embroidery workshop – Threading Words

Embroidery, traditionally the preserve of women, is becoming feminist! Accompanied by artist Lola Jungle, this workshop invites you to rediscover embroidery as a creative and committed expression.

Lola Jungle uses needle and thread to express herself. Her research into traditional textile techniques, historically linked to the feminine, is the pretext for venturing to embroider scars, songs, poems and desires.

As part of International Women's Rights Day, come and stitch words and motifs into the images of six photographers: Audrey Piguet, Christelle Boulé, Margaux Corda, Alessia Olivieri, Mathilda Olmi and Laurence von der Weid.

Join us at the MCBA during the Photo Elysée closure!
