Photo Elysée und Parmigiani Fleurier freuen sich, die Identität des Gewinners des Prix Elysée 2023 bekannt zu geben: Die amerikanische Fotografin Debi Cornwall wurde von einer internationalen Expertenjury unter acht nicht nominierten Projekten ausgewählt. Die aktuelle Serie Model Citizens wird vom 30. Juni bis 1. Oktober 2023 im Museum zu sehen sein.

The eight nominated projects for the fifth edition of the Prix Elysée were revealed Wednesday, July 6, at an event during the Rencontres de la photographie d'Arles. Launched in 2014 with the support of Parmigiani Fleurier, the Prix Elysée offers financial support, curatorial guidance and significant visibility to mid-career artists with a passion for photography and books, so that they can take a decisive step in their careers.

The Prix Elysée is an international award for photographic production that encourages photographers or mid-career artists to develop an original project on a theme of their choice.

Applications are open from January 17 to March 14, 2022.

Chosen by an international jury of experts among eight selected projects, his identity is revealed on June 22, 2021. Kurt Tong’s work revolves around exploring his Chinese roots by using photography as a narrative tool. "This project brings together the great history with fundamental subjects, such as immigration, wars, expatriation, but also a love story that touches each and every one of us" underlines Tatyana Franck, Director of Photo Elysée, Lausanne.
