Visits and activities

In addition to its exhibitions, Photo Elysée offers a unique and varied program: public and private guided tours, workshops for children and adults, cultural events of all kinds, concerts, performances and conferences.

Restaurants

Café Lumen

In the central hall of the building, Café Lumen offers a spontaneous and fast cuisine with authentic artisanal products. Run by Delphine Veillon and Johans Valdivia, who also manage Le Nabi at the MCBA, Café Lumen offers a place to rest, share and exchange ideas, which is essential to the visit.

Arcadia restaurant

On the esplanade, open from Wednesday to Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm. On Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.

Le Nabi

At MCBA, open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, and on Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm.

Shop

Photography books, everyday objects, exhibition catalogs, gift ideas, postcards, posters, specialized books, the new bookshop of Photo Elysée and mudac is a great address, for all tastes and within the reach of all budgets.

What museums can you visit at Plateforme 10?
Plateforme 10 brings together three museums in two separate buildings:
Building 1: Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts (MCBA)
Building 2: mudac and Photo Elysée

When are the museums closed?
MCBA: Monday
mudac and Photo Elysée: Tuesday

Is there access for people with reduced mobility?
There are two disabled parking spaces at the end of Avenue Louis Ruchonnet (GPS coordinates 46°31’06.6″N 6°37’29.7″E).

The Photo Elysée and mudac buildings are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Adapted toilets are available on each level of the building.

Folding seats are available for people with reduced mobility. Two wheelchairs are available on request from the building reception. Further information

During the Visit

Do you have cloakrooms in the mudac – Photo Elysée building?
Self-service lockers are available free of charge for visitors to store their personal belongings, with the exception of luggage larger than 55cm x 35cm x 20cm (including pockets, wheels and handles). Tokens are available from reception.

Can I take photographs in the building with my mobile phone?
In the permanent and temporary exhibition halls, the works may be photographed or filmed without flash or lighting devices, and for private use only.

All works exhibited and reproduced by Photo Elysée and mudac are subject to copyright and may not be freely used or reproduced by third parties. It is the individual responsibility of the public to respect the copyright in force.

Are pets allowed in the building?
Animals are not permitted in the building, with the exception of dogs accompanying the visually impaired or blind.

Is there Wi-Fi in the building?
Both mudac and Photo Elysée offer free Wi-Fi.

Can I draw and paint in the exhibition halls?
You may only write and draw in the museum with a pencil. Ballpoint pens, felt-tip pens, paintbrushes, scissors, etc. may not be used.

Children & Families

Are pushchairs allowed?
Pushchairs are welcome throughout the building, with lifts providing easy access to the exhibition areas.

Is it possible to breastfeed and change my child?
It is possible to breastfeed in the exhibition halls, but bottles are not allowed. Please go to the museum reception area or Café Lumen, both on the ground floor of the building.

A baby-changing table is available in the toilets on the ground floor of the building, as well as toilets specially designed for children.

Teachers & Schools

I am a teacher and would like to take my class to mudac and Photo Elysée: how do I go about visiting them?
You are welcome to bring your class, but you must register in advance. An educational programme is offered each year by each institution in connection with visits organised for schools. Please refer to the self-guided tour charter before your visit.

A newsletter dedicated to teachers is also published regularly.
