Visit aids

Another way to visit the exhibitions of Photo Elysée

Visit aids allow visitors to explore our exhibitions via a fun approach adapted to young visitors and anyone wishing to enrich their visit! They are available at the museum and on our website, to prepare your visit or extend it at home.

Photomobile Elysée

Photography is coming to you!

From November 2020 to December 2021, when the museum was temporarily closed during our move to Plateforme 10, the Photomobile Elysée allowed us to visit schools and specialised institutions in the Canton of Vaud, offering free educational workshops focusing on photography and the museum’s collections.

Chaplin Kit

A group activity to offer your classes!

The Chaplin through History exhibition kit offers pupils an introduction to the various museum practices. Using a selection of photographs taken from two cult films by the famous filmmaker, Modern Times (1936) and The Great Dictator (1940), this activity involves discovering the professions that gave life to Photo Elysée and creating a temporary exhibition.

Particularly suitable for students of the visual arts, history and art history in secondary level II, the kit is also intended for general education in secondary level I. This project allows students to learn about Chaplin’s work and its influence on the film industry of the time, and then to develop skills in semiotic analysis of the photographic image. It also encourages students to work in groups, enabling them to take responsibility for the development of a joint project while acquiring the theoretical and practical knowledge related to the museum.

Photographs to touch

Art for all

Some thirty key works from the museum's collections have been tactilely adapted and put online in the form of a downloadable kit, so that the visually impaired public can access them throughout the world.
