Farewell, Tatyana !

After seven years of working on Photo Elysée's outreach, Tatyana Franck is moving on to New York City. On March 1, 2022, she will join the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), an important multi-disciplinary non-profit organization, as its President. Nicole Minder will serve as director ad interim from February 1 until the new director takes office.

The entire museum and Plateforme 10 team wishes Tatyana all the best and would like to thank her for all she has accomplished for Photo Elysée and for its integration into the heart of Plateforme 10, Lausanne's arts district.

Director's note

"I am leaving the museum to take on new professional challenges that promise to be as exciting as the rich experience I have had at Photo Elysée. These seven years spent at the service of the museum, its influence and culture in the broadest sense have been very enriching and I am proud of all the projects realized with my teams."

Photo Elysée under Tatyana Franck

Under the direction of Tatyana Franck, our institution has developed considerably in terms of reputation and enrichment of the cantonal collections (donation of the Sabine Weiss, Jan Groover and Olivier Föllmi collections), new partnerships and patrons, local anchoring and international influence. Her strategic vision, her sense of public service and her open and participative personality have been decisive in making Photo Elysée an essential part of the canton of Vaud's cultural life.

During her tenure and thanks to her innovative vision of art at the service of all audiences and the holding of prestigious exhibitions - La Mémoire du futur : dialogues photographiques entre passé, présent et futur (Lausanne) ; Charles Chaplin, A Vision (Shanghai) ; Jan Groover. Laboratory of Forms (Lausanne/Bologna/Paris); Hybrids, the Body as Imaginary (Mexico City); The Beauty of Lines (Lausanne/Barcelona/Paris); Unfamiliar Familiarities. Views over Switzerland (Winterthur/Lausanne); Nicolas Savary. Conquistador (Lausanne/Bulle) ... - we have seen our attendance increase and our audience diversify. Tatyana Franck has also played a particularly active role in the ambitious cultural project Plateforme 10.
